Sean works as an emergency physician in his home state of Maine. He attended medical school at the University of New England and emergency medicine residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital where he served as a chief resident. After residency, he did a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services and Prehospital Medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. During residency and fellowship, he pursued and achieved his Fellowship in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM) through the Wilderness Medical Society. He continues to work with EMS services across Maine and New Hampshire as well as teaching abroad in the field of Austere Critical Care. His research and academic projects focus on high-acuity, low-occurrence procedures, paramedic and prehospital clinician education, and high performing teams in wilderness and austere settings.
