Matthew Vittorelli
Matt Vittorelli is an Army veteran retiring after 22 years of service, with deep experience in leadership, logistics, and operating in high-risk, austere environments. He has a background in critical care nursing and no longer works in a clinical ICU role; instead, he focuses on training, operational systems, rescue support, and field operations. Matt has worked with the Global Surgical and Medical Support Group (GSMSG), teaching trauma medicine in resource-constrained settings, and brings a practical, systems-based approach to risk mitigation and team performance. He spends much of his time ice climbing, rock climbing, backcountry snowboarding, and mountain biking throughout New England, and lives in New Hampshire’s Mount Washington Valley.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Economy at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a concentration on sustainable business leadership and public land policy.
